Principal

Ms Sally Renouf  -  BA (Monash), JD (ANU), Solicitor

Sally, her husband (Brodie Buckland) and their two children  live on campus.  They live in the Principal's residence, nicknamed 'The Lodge'.  For more information about Sally see Principal.

 

Deputy Principal

Mr Alex McKenzie  -  B.PPE (ANU), MAIDC, GCRT Behavioural Economics (QUT)

Alex is an alumnus of the College, having resided at Burgmann from 2016 to 2018 where he was a Residential Advisor and the equivalent of our Gender and Sexuality Education Advocate (Men's); he was also a member of Burgmann Council and Board of Management. Alex lives onsite in The Village and enjoys promoting the community feel of the College.

 

 

 

Dean

Ms Taryn Ahsing  -  BPH (UND), GCRT Counselling (ECU)

Taryn has built her career in community development, health promotion, and student wellbeing. She is committed to creating a safe, respectful and supportive environment where all students are given the opportunity to thrive. Taryn lives onsite in The Village and is honoured to walk alongside students at Burgmann College.

 

 

Residential Fellow

Brodie Buckland  -  BA (Harvard) Dip. Legal Studies (Oxon) JD (ANU)
Law, History, German

Brodie graduated from ANU with First Class Honours in his Juris Doctor, and was called to the ACT Bar in 2015.  A Burgmann resident since 2011, he is often helping residents with law queries, or playing with his dogs, Eve and Juno.  Brodie competed in the Men's Pair division at the London Olympics where he and pair partner James Marburg placed fifth. Sally and Brodie share a love of puns and the music of Paul Simon.
